There are a number of ways to determine if an AVC-I codec module is installed in your Nitris DX:

• If you purchased the Nitris DX with AVC-I, the front of the box will be labeled with �AVC-Intra�
• If you purchased an AVC-I codec module separately, you should have applied a sticker that reads �AVC-Intra� to the back of the box (or some other location of your choosing)
• If the box is not labeled with �AVC-Intra,� you can launch your editing application and open a project. If AVC-I is an option for capture, then an AVC-I codec module is installed in your system.
• You can run a console command in your editing application that will tell you if the AVC-I codec module is installed in your Nitris DX.

Will AVC-Intra capture work with MojoDX?

No. Only NitrisDX will support the AVC-Intra Capture. There is a hardware card that plugs into the NitrisDX. MojoDX only uses software codecs.

With the NitrisDX and AVC-I option, can I capture AVI-Intra 50 or AVC-Intra 100?

Yes. You can capture either bit rates of AVC-Intra.

Is the AVC-Intra Hardware acceleration done on a secondary card, or is this a software "switch"? Is it a paid option?

. The AVC-Intra Codec Module is a hardware card that can be added to an existing Nitris DX or you can buy a new Nitris DX with the AVC-I card already installed. The cards are a purchase option for existing NitrisDX customers. Avid will be supplying video instructions for the install.

Does AVC-Intra card comes "free" within the MC Symphony Nitris DX, but must be purchased for Media Composer Nitris DX?

Yes. NitrisDX with AVC-I is included with Symphony. It is optional for Media Composer NitrisDX.

Will Media Composer Nitris DX include the AVC-Intra encoder?

Composer will ship only with the NitrisDX Codec, but can get the AVC-Intra module as option. Symphony systems will ship with the AVC-Intra included.
