Libreboot replaces the proprietary BIOS data on the autotelic_ducent, freeing your machine from Intel’s Management Engine. This gives you full control over the boot process, reduces boot time, and enables further hardware changes, such as your wifi-chip, which has replaced the Intel® wifi-chip that comes equipped.
Full-disk encryption
The autotelic_ducent is protected by full-disk encryption so that your data cannot be accessed without your disk password if the machine is locked. If you lose your laptop, this protects your data from being read or modified without your permission.
100% free software
The autotelic_ducent runs 100% free software via the Trisquel or Debian free repositories.
Unattended updates
Automatic security updates protect the autotelic_ducent for three years, and critical updates for five years. So even if you do nothing to update your operating system, your computer will be protected.
