The Antelope Audio Atlas i8 is a professional 3-way isobaric active studio monitor designed for accurate nearfield and mid-field monitoring. Its low-frequency section uses two 8-inch woofers in an isobaric configuration, delivering precise bass response with reduced cabinet size and low distortion even at high SPL. A reinforced 18 mm enclosure helps suppress unwanted resonances, while custom Class-D amplification provides a total of 400 W of power.
The Atlas i8 combines a 5.5-inch midrange driver and 1.5-inch coaxial high-frequency driver to create a single-point-axis response and allow both horizontal and vertical positioning. Digital calibration with FIR and IIR filters provides time-aligned, neutral frequency response, supported by Antelope's proprietary 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking and 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA conversion.
For room integration and system setup, the monitor provides an 8-band digital parametric EQ, software control panel, front color display and adjustable delay compensation from 0 to 10 ms in 0.1 ms steps. Analog XLR/TRS inputs are complemented by AES/EBU digital input and output, with the digital output supporting daisy-chain configurations.
With a frequency range of 35 Hz–20 kHz at -6 dB, a maximum SPL of 117 dB at 1 meter, and flexible wall or ceiling installation via an optional mounting plate, the Atlas i8 is designed for professional recording, mixing, mastering and immersive monitoring environments.
