The Audient HORIZON 16 is a Thunderbolt 3 audio interface and high-end converter with 34 inputs and 34 outputs, designed specifically for modern hybrid studio workflows. It provides 16 analog line inputs and 16 line outputs through four DB25 connections, enabling extensive integration of analog outboard equipment with a digital audio environment.
A dedicated stereo mix bus signal path allows finished mixes to be recorded directly back into the DAW without changing existing connections. Combined with 32-bit/192 kHz conversion and a 133 dB dynamic range, the HORIZON 16 provides a high-resolution interface between analog studio hardware and digital production systems.
With a round-trip latency of just 0.99 ms at 192 kHz and a 64-sample buffer, the interface is designed for workflows using native plug-ins with minimal monitoring delay. Dual ADAT I/O provides up to 16 additional digital expansion channels, while separate stereo monitor outputs support independent reference monitoring.
The HORIZON Control software provides a virtual patchbay, individual monitoring, Comfort Reverb and comprehensive metering. Hardware monitor control includes Mono, Polarity, Dim and reference-level functions. Up to four HORIZON devices can also be combined through a single driver, supporting systems with up to 200 × 200 inputs and outputs.
