The OptoFET from Rupert Neve Designs is an extremely versatile analog compressor and wave shaper that combines a newly developed FET compression circuit with an optimized optical compression circuit in a single unit. The OptoFET has two primary compression modes : In Dual-Stage mode, the FET and OPTO compressors are chained together to achieve complete dynamic control over critical sources, effortlessly implementing common recording and mixing techniques. In Dual-Band mode, each compressor is assigned to either a lower or upper frequency band, which can then be processed independently, extending the OptoFET
's tone-shaping and dynamic control into previously uncharted territory.
